Hello

From the heart of Ohio, where endless fields of potatoes and corn stretched nearly as far as the eye could see, my world was initially framed by the limited flicker of five TV channels accessed via a trusty antennae. But the real magic unfolded while nestled in the crook of an old apple tree, the air alive with the gentle hum of bees diligently working the blossoms near their hives. There, amid the sweet scent of spring and the promise of honey, I fell irrevocably in love with the written word.

 

That early enchantment never faded, making a career in journalism and then strategic communications feel less like a choice and more like a natural evolution – a way to harness the profound power of language to affect positive change in the world.
 

My lens has since expanded. As a writer, editor, photographer and leader, I'm constantly learning and growing, finding beauty and stories in everything from the vibrant pulse of street photography to the breathtaking vistas of nature and captivating moments of travel. Having journeyed to all 50 states and now slowly charting a course through the other continents, my camera has captured everything from the comical charm of Icelandic puffins to the dizzying beauty of the Vatican Museums' spiral staircase – moments I've been privileged to share in galleries and art museums.

 

Beyond capturing existing narratives, I find immense joy in building new ones – whether it's nurturing the potential in individuals, building strong teams, shaping impactful brands, or developing innovative products. And when the world quiets, you'll find me cherishing time with family, friends, and my beloved English shepherd, Aviendha – a nod to the literary worlds that first captured my imagination.
